Why I want to meet angela.

Can you play “Devil Went Down to Georgia”? I think it’s good the way you’re stingy with your fiddling. It’s supply and demand- and YOU are on the winning side. EVERYONE wants to meet a fiddle prodigy, especially a reluctant one. For some reason it reminds me of the way that Beethoven used to purportedly play piano pieces at parties and then when the party-goers were in the throes of heavy emotion and weeping aloud, he’d slam the cover down over the keys, turn and laugh maniacally at them all- relishing in his ability to play them as successfully as his instrument. You should try that next time. Even if I never see you fiddle though, I’d still like to meet you, and one day I shall, considering I’m moving back to the West Coast in a mere 2 weeks and will be visiting Seattle at least once every 2 months, if not more often than that.

One thing you probably didn't know about angela.

Angela can play the fiddle! She has a secret previous life as a musical prodigy child wonder which I didn’t learn about until I had known her for many months. But, on certain occasions, usually involving a bit of the drink, she will break out the fiddle and play Fiddle Name That Tune. I love hearing Ave Maria played at twice normal speed at 3 in the morning after a game of Trivial Pursuit (which itself comes after a game of Vodka Taste Test) has fallen apart due to people throwing the game pieces at each other. That is my idea of a perfect night out.

Another thing you should know about Angela… never never never bring up the fiddle playing. She will kill you, and, worse than that, she will refuse to play. It is advised to simply wait for it to happen. And it will, if you are patient. Yes, it will!
